The Tarboro Choral Society

The mission of The Tarboro Choral Society is twofold: To bring singers together from Eastern North Carolina for the study of classical composers, their musical styles, and the times in which they lived in order to offer a more scholarly and authentic performance; and to provide performance opportunities for professional and nonprofessional musicians for the purpose of culturally and artistically enriching the lives of the citizens of Eastern North Carolina. This year we are celebrating the **250th Birthday of America**.  Accordingly, all three days of our 2026 Music Festival, “*America Sings:  A Musical Tapestry,*” will celebrate the broad genre of music by American composers.  Your spirits will be lifted by the splendid music of classical composers, folk songs, Broadway, jazz, and the gospel songs often heard in church on Sunday mornings.
